Help us support grieving children and families!

I’d like to share a story that captures the heart of our mission and the real impact your kindness makes.

Melissa had doubts that anyone could help her and her three sons with their tragedy and unbearable grief after the death of her husband

but Melissa and her sons turned to The Center for Loss and Bereavement for help.

Since coming to the Center, their family’s counselor has become a trusted advocate who assists in their healing journey. Her counselor identified what her older sons would benefit from and assisted them in their journey of self-discovery that led to a higher level of care for both.

She recognized my specialized needs as the mother of three boys that lost their hero father and my loss of my husband, protector, best friend and provider. I look forward to our sessions at the Center. She is able to guide us at the right time when we are facing so many events and validates us all. I will forever be grateful for her professionalism and craft as a talented clinician.

And because of donors like you, we could provide Melissa and her sons with our specialized care.

Over the last 5 years, our overall service hours for counseling and groups have exponentially increased by 130%. In 2022-2023, we provided 4,834 service hours to our clients! Today, we are excited to announce a new chapter in our story - the expansion of our Center with additional office space! This expansion allows us to increase our capacity and reach more individuals who come to us for help.

But we cannot do it alone. We need your continued support.

Your special year end gift will help a grieving family to find hope, solace, comfort and connection in their greatest time of need just like Melissa and her sons.

Over 20 years ago, we embarked on a remarkable journey together. A journey of compassion, understanding, and unwavering support through the Center. With your help, we have stood with those grappling with grief, like Melissa and her sons, offering them a beacon of hope in their darkest moments.

We all know someone who has experienced the devastating loss of a loved one. It's a journey no one chooses, but when faced with it, the Center has been there, offering solace and support. And you, our generous donors, have been there every step of the way.

Consider supporting us in this new phase of our journey.

Your generous contribution will play a crucial role in offsetting the pre-incurred costs associated with furnishing our new space. By doing so, you directly contribute to the financial stability of our organization, allowing us to maintain the same level of dedicated, compassionate service we've proudly offered for over two decades. A comfortable, home-like setting for our clients is paramount to our care model and we are excited to offer our clients this new warm and inviting space.

Every dollar you donate makes a significant difference in the lives of those we serve.

Did you know that valued supporters can choose to give stock, allocate grants from Donor Advised Funds, or make a Qualified Charitable Distribution? These methods are often more tax-smart than giving cash, maximizing the impact of your generous contribution particularly at year-end.

We believe that no one should face grief alone. Together, we can ensure that no one ever does.

Please consider a gift to The Center for Loss and Bereavement today.

Essential to our continued growth, we invite you to take action today by making a special year-end gift by December 31st. In this exciting time of expansion, your gift is needed more than ever.

Your generosity fuels our mission today so that we can be there tomorrow for even more people and fulfill our deepest commitment to serve those facing grief and loss.

From the entire Staff, Board of Directors, and Founders, we wish you and yours a peaceful holiday season.
